The O.V.T. solid color oil stains are uniquely formulated to cover like a paint and perform like a stain. Linseed oil-based stains offer tremendous hiding power, yet they resist cracking, peeling, and blistering. O.V.T. oil stains produce a water-repellent, mildew-resistant, durable flat finish. Apply to new, previously painted or stained wood, smooth or rough surfaces including siding, shingles, shakes, and trim. Ideal on well-seasoned lumber such as cedar, fir, pine, cypress, spruce, and redwood. Use Problem-Solver wood cleaner and wood brightener to remove tough mildew, mold, and tannin bleed problems, or Problem-Solver wood stripper to safely remove all oil-based finishes from wood surfaces. Use Problem-Solver primer as a basecoat on extractive prone wood to provide a superior resistance to tannin bleed problems. Apply evenly with a brush, roller, or sprayer. Approximate coverage on smooth, new wood: 400 to 500 Sq. Ft. per gallon or rough, new wood: 150 to 250 Sq. Ft. per gallon. Gallon units.
